National Inclusion Week

This week (23rd-29th September) marks National Inclusion Week, and the theme for 2024 is ‘Impact Matters.’ A reminder that everyone in an organisation can make an impact when it comes to inclusion at work.

We’ve put together a useful infographic with top tips on how to make sure inclusion is everybody’s responsibility. We’ve included some practical ideas on how this can be achieved through:

🟡 Recruitment: ensure hiring practices are fair, inclusive and reach diverse talent pools.
🟢 Onboarding: design onboarding to be inclusive, considering varied needs from the outset.
🔵 HR policies: Review policies to ensure they are inclusive and respectful of diverse identities and circumstances.
🟣 Training: Ensure all employees, especially managers, receive comprehensive training on diversity, inclusion and bias awareness
🔴 Open communication: Create a culture where employees feel comfortable sharing their needs without fear of judgement or repercussions.
